push pull pot grounding

where do you ground these bad boys since the usual back of the pot position is not available? Same goes for the capacitor leg that usually runs to ground...where does that go?

Thanks

Re: push pull pot grounding

Assuming you're using it as a volume pot, just connect the ground wires to lug 1 of the pot, the one that would normally bend to the back of the pot or use the back of another pot. Or better yet, get a small washer, connect all the ground wires to it, then connect the washer to lug 1 of the push/pull pot. You should shield the cavity with shielding tape or heavy duty aluminum foil so that all your pots are connected without the need for ground wires connecting them, much like what a Tele control plate does.

Re: push pull pot grounding

its actually a tele i am using these for....its got mini rail buckers in there and im using 2 push pulls, one for vol one for tone. since the metal plate thing is in effect...that means i dont have to string the pots together and i only need to run one ground wire to the bridge? or its better to drill a washer into the wood and ground it all to that?

thanks again
