push pull pot question

On a Tele would I want to put the push pull pot for coil tapping on the volume or tone knob?

No matter if it's a tele or not, i use the tone knob for push pull pots.
I'd use that pot which i don't use so much.

I'd put it on the tone as well, that's what I did with my Strat. As far as the actual functionality of the pot, it makes not difference since the push/pull switch and the pot itself are not connected, just housed in the same box.
