Yes, it'll work. The threaded barrel is a little smaller than the 3/8" hole you have in your guitar though. I just measured one for you. (I keep that exact same pot in stock) They measure 1" from front to back...not including the threaded portion. Will that fit? Lew

It might move around over time and require re tightening. I usually just tighten the heck out of it and hope for the best! :laugh2:
There are rubber grommets that you can fill the hole with. They are hard to find but a really great hardware store might have one.

Have you thought about a mini switch glued under your pickgaurd? I don't
doubt that the switch will fit. I'm just thinking you may see a lot of
grief getting it in there?

On a semi-hollow Ibanez I've had for years, I used "toothed" lock-washers between the pots and the body (on the inside) which kept them from occasionally loosening on me (haven't had a problem since). To make installation easier, I glued the washers to the pots first (just a tiny dab).

Don't buy your push/pull pots from Stewmac...there's a reason they sell them cheaper than anyone else. They are poorly constructed overseas, I had several of them go bad on me. The best push/pull pots in existance are the audio tapered Dimarzios ones.

That particular pot I have never had any trouble with. The one's from Stew Mac that I've had go bad were the regular 250K and 500K pots...the one's made in Mexico.
Allparts has nicer CTS pots...tho those are made overseas these days. The quality seems to be fine.

Yes. It's a very commen pot sold by alot of dealers. I don't know who actually manufactures it. Lew

I like the Dimarzio ones, as they have a much more solid feel to them than the cheap ones. Forum member Kent_S recommended them to me, and I've been very happy with them, I have them in several guitars. The rotation is very nice, not too loose or too stiff, and the switch seems much more durable. Dimarzio has them custom made, unlike other manufacturers who all buy from the same manufacturer and repackage them as their own. Unfortunately, CTS doesn't make DPDT pots, but the Dimarzios are outstanding. They are kind of hard to find though, I had to special order mine from a Dimarzio dealer.

Better make sure they are the Dimarzio ones, and that they are the correct taper. Dimarzio makes both audio and linear taper, and since they only recently started making the audio, any old stock is probably linear. I personally can't stand linear pots in a guitar.
