Push pull pots for telecaster deluxe 72

Hey guys.

I'm doing a home build and need two push pull pots that will fit in the volume pot holes in my pickguard.

I orignally bought these dimarzio pots from ebay only to find that the threaded part of the shaft was way too small (thin) for my pickguard and wobbled all over the place. Does anyone know where you can pick up some top quality push pull pots that will fit?

IMO, there is nothing wrong with the quality of the DiMarzio pot illustrated. The solution to the undersized shaft diameter problem is to use flat (dress) washers of greater outer diameter.

EDIT: I am intrigued as to exactly what the push-pull pots could switch on an original Fender Telecaster Deluxe. Even on the Re-ossues, the pickups are single conductors.

Theyre supposed to fit. I use Ernie Ball pots sometimes and theyre thinner than the holes on all my fenders. Did you use a lock washer? did you hold onto the pot while tighteting it on the other side?

My bad for posting BEFORE the guitar body photograph appeared.

Actually, on either a MIJ or CIJ re-issue Tele Deluxe, I would expect the pots to be of similar shaft diameter to the DiMarzio push-pull type. MIM examples could conceivably have American CTS pots.

AZ, lock (AKA "star") washers can only work if they have something into which to bite.

AlexR, the push-pulls could be used for phase reversal or series/parallel interconnection of the two pickups. Somebody attempting to mimic the sound of a Fender Jaguar could, perhaps, wire one push-pull to act as a Bass Cut (AKA "choke") tone switch.
