Put in a Evolution

I put this p/u in yesterday in a Ibanez RG, I like the tight aggressive tone of the thing but man talk about in your face ballsey attitude. I knew when I bought this p/u it was gonna be hot but never had any idea that much. I guess after I play around with it a bit more I can get it dialed in better. Anybody else use the EVO and what were your impressions ? Thanks

Well, if it's too hot, you can always lower the pickup and get less output and harshness. I'm assuming by the design of that pickup it's rather bright, too? Those hex screws may need adjustment, too. (Up instead of down?)

I have an EVO waiting to go in my super-strat....I keep hearing it's aggressive and in your face but I can't imagine anything more aggressive than my EMGs.....looking forward to trying it out.

My old Evolution sounded a TON better when I put it in my hardtail Charvel strat.

Floating Floyd + Evolution = Thin tone

.........and I know if I've already said it twice, but I'm gonna say it a 3rd time.....I really wish I could've tried an A5 magnet in the Evolution. When is somebody gonna friggin' try this?!

Im sure it will take a little time to get it setup to my likeing, if I cant out with it in with another, maybe a DIME, hummmmmmm.
