Putting a battery box in a strat where at?

Where should i put a battery box at in a strat? What kind? I was hoping to find a box and jack combo to replace the strat jack with a battery and jack box. I think it would be cool but y'know, whatever.

do you use the wang bar? i always put the battery in the back where the springs would usually go and block the bridge.

I dont use it. I have all 5 springs in mine tho and its pretty much a hardtail

I've been looking at unfinished bodies lately and I saw Warmoth routes battery boxes in the upper horn. I want to say there was clip on the bottom of pickguard when I messed around with active pickups in my strat in the mid 2000s.

you can fit a piece of wood between the block and the body so the bridge is held firmly in place then remove the springs. thats exactly what ive done on my two active strats.

From the back
Under the pick guard
Where those two holes are
Between the tone and switch and the lower horn

All the hacking gets hidden under the guard and in back

Check The Carvin/keisel site
They have single and double boxes

You could also flip the jackplate and put the battery underneath.

I like this idea, I wonder if it leaves enough space to get a battery in there though.

Putting it under the guard would mean taken it off during replacement, more work than taking that jackplate off.
