Putting a SD pup in an Axis

Has anyone ever tried to put a SD pup in an Axis before? I want to try a JB in the axis but the routing on the Axis is designed for the Dimarzios.

If anyone has any suggestions or knowledge if SD would fit a JB for me would be awesome.

In my Axis the pickups were not ht. adjustable. So I had to clip off the legs that the adjustment screws would normally thread into and then rebend them and then drill new screw holes for the wood screws that would attach the pickup in the pickup hole in the guitar. It was a bit of a hassle but after that it worked just fine. Lew
