Yeah I forgot to mention that Josh doesn't actually use the Octavia, I was more focused on the history of the octave fuzz. Seriously though, if you have a good muff clone and an Ultimate Octave running into a big clean amp pushed to power tube distortion, and have humbucker equipped guitars tuned to C standard you're 99% of the way there. It works wonders for me.
