QP pot value?

I've got a QP in the bridge of my tele and a PC in the neck. I'm using a 500k pot for the volume. It works well with the P90, but I'm not sure about the QB. It's bright so I was wondering what the best solution would be. Is there a way to run a 250k for the QP? Can a run a separate vol pot and just drop the tone all together? I never roll my tone back.

Just wondering if any of you guys have messed with wiring a tele like this.

Re: QP pot value?

The QP is so fat that I found the 500K really opened up the top end and helped balance out the full coil. The 500K is a bit bright for the tapped mode of the tapped version, but I found 500K to be the best all around option for my tele.

Sure, you could run two volumes and no tone, but keep in mind that will really brighten things up. If you never roll the tone back but like the tone you get, then I would suggest independent volumes with a 500K (or 250K) resistor in series with a capacitor to emulate the "tone knob on 10" sound.

i run a 500k volume and tone pot with my tele that has the QP in the bridge. Its a mahogany body though.
