quack: ? single coil and split SM-2n

I'm looking for a true singlecoil in the mid position to create the most quack in combination with a split minihumbucker SM-2n in the neck position.
Advice please! :question:

I'm not sure how the SM-2 sounds split, but it's tough to beat the SSL-1 if you need a good Strat pickup for the middle to get some quack.

What guitar do you have the SM-2n in, and how does it sound? I'm currently trying to decide what mini to put in the neck of my strat.

Currently in my PRS. Gibson 57+ in the bridge position.
I do have a custom cut middle single coil pup in my PRS
