Quarter Pound HB

like a stagmag but with qp poles? i dont recall one, but i my crs is strong

I think it was around the time people were trying to make the perfect 10k PAF. Maybe it never came to fruition.

i had a single coil pbass pup made, and i think dusty hill used em for a bit too

Wow, that is cool! I wonder if it is just 2 QPs (like the StagMag), or if it is like a regular humbucker.

If anyone is wondering, I actually asked the Custom Shop about building me a QP HB set (lower output neck for a matched set)
And they basically said it doesn't sound very good and they don't recommend it. They said the over wound wire and construction of the QP inherently makes for a very dark and muddy sounding humbucker. They recommended an El Diablo instead for Quarter pound vibes in a humbucker.

I suppose it could work if it was in parallel.

pole pieces vs rod magnets are a big difference. railhamer pups use large poles under the skinny strings and a thin rail under the wound strings, works pretty well
