Quarter Pounders in a Squier Telecaster Bullet

As everyone should know I am new to the electric guitar so with that being said... has anyone put these pickups in a Squier? Likes? Dislikes?
Is there something I should watch out for? I’m going to do the swap myself so any info will be greatly appreciated. It will be my first pup swap.

Those are great, you might find you use your tone pot to roll of some on the bridge pickup for some passages

because High Gain + Mid Range Bump + Sparkle + bridge pickup in metal Ashtray bridge =in your face excitement

I recommend wiring a Tele so the tone control only affects the bridge pickup.

You miss out on all the Jazzy neck sounds that way . . .

I’m not into the dull and lifeless neck w/tone rolled off jazz tone. The jazz cats I listen to all have fairly bright, present tones. I do, however, like being able to take the edge off the bridge while still having a clear neck tone.

It is a great set, and sounds awesome in a Tele. You will get a lot of sounds out of that.

I’m told that the pots in the guitar are 250k and I have also been told that I should upgrade to 500k. Is this true?

Well, they were designed with stock pots in mind, so keep the 250k in there. If for some reason, you think they are too dark and the amp EQ doesn't help, then go to 500k pots.

Thanks Mincer, this is what my reply was, that I was going to keep the original pots.
