no idea. im assuming that you are talking about the tone starting around 2:05.
sounds like some kinda synth thing

I'm almost 95% sure that Brian May does that solo, even tho it sounds like synth.

There is a divebomb in it, i dont know if synths back then could do that...

The solo on the album version of 'I Want To Break Free' is a Synth. I did know the name of the guy that played it, but it's slipped my mind at the minute :smack:

When Queen played that song live, Brian used to play the solo on guitar instead

AFAIN it's May playing some analogue synth with a modulation wheel.

It's prolly played on a synth with a MIDI-guitar.
It's a synth, that's for sure, but it doesn't sound like it was played on a keyboard.
