Question about grounds

This a really stupid question!

I'm having a little trouble with grounding. Is it alright to connect a few ends to be grounded that are next to each other and just run a wire from that spot to the ground spot on the perfboard, where other ground wires meet up and where there is a final ground wire going to the box?

Building a pedal? Yes you can. If you end up with a noise issue, I'd start diagnosing from there, however.

Building an amp? I'll default to the experts...
