Question about my Tonepros bridge...

I just took the Tonepros bridge off my Schecter C1. It struck me as odd that the saddle adjustment screws and the post-locking screws were facing the neck of the guitar. It seemed odd... like they should be toward the back of the guitar. I attached a picture of what I think it should look like.

The saddles were like this: |\

Also - it says "Gotoh - Japan" on the bottom. Does Gotoh make Tonepros, or does Schecter lie? :22:

Re: Question about my Tonepros bridge...

Both of my TOM guitars have come stock with the hex screws facing away from the pickups and neck, towards the string thru portion. On my Schecter with Tonepros, the locking screws were facing the neck/pickups.

About the "Gotah" thing, Tonepros is just a redone Gotah bridge, nothing on Schecters part.

The way you describe it (intonation screws on the neck side) is the way Gibson does it on most guitars, but I have seen both.

Re: Question about my Tonepros bridge...

Apparently the intonation screw can get in the way, screw up string tension and cause intonation problems, if its facing away from the neck, so thats why they usually face the neck. but thats only what i've read.

Re: Question about my Tonepros bridge...

After playing around with the bridge, I can see why it was put that way. It just seemed odd that the adjustment screws would be harder to get to. The orientation of the saddles seemed off to me, but it works fine.

Thanks all! :D
