Not for nothing, but I always give better deals to good friends to keep gear in the family so-to-speak... but even I, nor any of my friends would go THAT far down...
On the flip side, if it is a legit 40 year old cab for that price it might be hammered.
In my current search for another cab, one of my friends offered up a 70s basketweave with original GM12s as a hold-over... not reconed... but its seen SOOO much use over the years that there's nothing left of the cab. It rattles & coughs and the speakers wouldn't last very long at gig volume.
IMO original speakers are great for collectors, not so much for players.
Only way you're gonna know is to see pictures of the inside & out, or better yet... do it in person.
If it's legit, the guy must think a hell of a lot of you. That'll be the score of all scores. You need to find a way to fund that bad boy.![]()
