Question for Dimarzio Area pickup users?

I have and Area 58 and Area 67 to install in the neck and middle positions of my strat, along with a Tone Zone S in the bridge. I'm not exactly sure how to wire them. Is it useful to split them in the 2 and 4 positions, or wouldn't it make a difference? I have 2 different diagrams, but not sure which to use.

You may like to wire an auto-split for the tone zone in position 2. That will give a brighter more strat like tone, but it will forgo the hum cancelling.

I have a area 58 middle pickup in a HSH strat that splits both middle and bridge humbucker in position 2. It works well, but it depends on the pickups and what you are trying to achieve. The short answer is that you don't need to split them.
