drew_half_empty said:raise the value of r14 to about 10k
the higher the value, the more bass, the less highs
i feel 10k is a good starting point for what you're asking
changing c10 & c12 to small LED's will warm it up A LOT & add some bass
if thats too much, change them back to original values & put one of the LED's in d4

the best mods so far were changing C22 to a 10uf cap and C10 to an LED.
John-- I would totally send my pedal to you because I trust that your mods really are as cool as everybody says but right now i'm just having fun with this thing on my own. + i figure that anything like this that i can mess around with is good experience for when I start my electrician aprenticeship after I finish this school year.
STRATDELUXER97 said:That's very cool.....You're very fortunate to have folks giving you the info you need...I had to learn totally on my own by alot of trying and experimenting...I've been reading achematics for many years because I also mess with tube amps,so the learning curve for me wasn't too bad...I just don't feel I should give out too much info on the mods, simply because I don't charge enough to just give it all away...Hope you understand?
John
wixomwhat said:Yes, I understand. But please understand that I wasen't asking you to give away any of your secrets or anything, their yours and you have a right to do what ever you want with them. I actually really think its cool that you mod everybodies pedals. I really look up to you becuase of your knowledge about that type of stuff.
STRATDELUXER97 said:Appreciate that....
If you decide you'd like the whole pedal dialed in right, send it to me,and for not alot of money, you'll have the entire pedal modded...That way you don't risk screwing something up....if you heat those traces on your board up too much, you will have other problems...Sometimes folks bite off their noses to spite their faces...
Make sure you do only one change at a time and check the outcome and make sure the pedal and the mod works, otherwise you now go from modder to repair man...Repairman isn't always fun...
wixomwhat said:Thanks for the tips.
If i cant get this thing sounding good in a week or two then I'll deffinately pm you about send the pedal to you.
drew_half_empty said:yeah, john is a way better modder than me
I use LED's because thats the only way i know how to make the distortion less robotic, I'm sure john has a better way of going about it
I'm all about the hi-gain chunky bassy tones though, once again, different strokes for different folks
