Question for the Les Paul Players

Re: Question for the Les Paul Players

I am going with the crowd the Studio is the way to go.

Re: Question for the Les Paul Players

The Studio comes with 490T/490R
The Studio Pro comes with Burstbucker Pro / '57 Classic
The Studio Satin comes with 2 Burstbucker Pros.

The all-mahogany faded Studio I believe had a Burstbucker Pro / 490R, or a 498T/490R ?
My all hog '10 faded came with BB pros

Re: Question for the Les Paul Players

I'd get the Studio unless I played them both and the LPJ felt and sounded a lot better. Even then I might get the Studio :D

Re: Question for the Les Paul Players

the Studio would be a better guitar for the money, but really it is gonna be whichever feels better to you. give em both a whirl and see which one floats your boat

There must be a full moon tonight. This is the most civilized les paul discussion I have ever witnessed.

Because...
Experienced Gibson players tend to agree
No one asked which is better

Nuther vote for the Studio.

I used to have a black Studio. Was my first real Gibson. Wish I still had her...

The title says it all. "Question for the Les Paul Players" not "Question for the Les Paul Haters That Don't Even Own One"

Re: Question for the Les Paul Players

I had a studio gothic(I gave it to my best friends son). It was a really nice guitar but I also have a standard. The standard is a much nicer guitar so the studio was getting played too much. The only short comings of the studio is they generally come with 300k pots, I would swap them out for 500k pots and maybe replace the pickup to the pickups of your choice. Then you will have a very nice guitar
