Question- is it cracked?

I bought a Duncan Distortion as a result of the recomendations of a few gents here.

It came in today (purchased online) and whoever packed it put a bunch of foam p nuts in the box and then put the pickup (in its plastic box) directly on top with the pickup facing up- instead of sandwiching the pup between layers of p nuts.

This led to a close inspection of the pup. I noticed on two of the adjustable posts a v shape in the plastic cover. They are difficult to see unless I turn the pup at the right angle in the light.

I thought this may be wax but it didn't come off. I didnt see the v shape lines (which look like small cracks) coming off any of the other 4 posts. It almost looks like the posts were screwed in too far which cracked the plastic- is this possible? Maybe it just took a hard hit during shipping and the intelligent way it was packed caused the cracks.......

Do any of you guys have this on any of your pickups? Will this affect anything?

One other question- do Duncans come with the screws that hold the pup ring on the body of the guitar? (no biggie just curious)

Thank you for your time.
