Questionable Amazon Seller: What do you guys make of this?

Re: Questionable Amazon Seller: What do you guys make of this?

This is more than a little disconcerting for me. As you may know, I'm the guy whose been handling Seymour Duncan's OEM business for the last 20-something years. When OEM customers purchase bulk pickups from us, they agree to only use those pickups as original equipment in their guitars. A violation of this rule could cause the OEM customer to lose the ability to purchase direct from Seymour Duncan. There have only been a handful of exemptions to this rule over the last two decades. I doubt this pickup was from one of them. Is there anyway to find out where this dealer purchased this pickup?

Yeah, I'm curious who was listed as the return address on the shipping label? There's no official "Music UFO" outside of Amazon that I can find... LINK

I got a white 59 neck with short legs, but I got it directly from Duncan as a warranty trade-in. The Duncan rep told me the short legs were an OEM pickup.

Then again, mine came straight from Duncan. I think your Amazon schiester is pawning counterfeits.

I personally don't see it as an over-reaction. Amazon's policy is quite simple–you will get what you paid for as described.
