Questions re: S-1 switch from Fender

Does anyone know if it is possible to buy the S-1 switch from Fender by itself? I want to mod my guitar.

Also, does anyone know the value of the capacitor placed in parallel to the pickups in the SSS models? is this not being done anymore (to solve the pop problem?)

I was searching for this in the past, and even asked Lew about it, but I stopped looking because any parts place I found doesn't have that type of switching.

I'm not sure if you could just order the part from Fender, but I think the S1 way of switching is a much better method than a push/pull pot. If you find out where to get one, let me know. I couldn't find it where I looked :smack:

use a push/push pot, you can probably wire it the same and use any knob you want.

Meh... it probably can be wired the same, but the S-1 has a certain look and feel that if I could find, I'd prefer. I think JMcorey is in the same boat too

Yeah, I really don't like push-pulls. I rather like push-push, and the S-1 is a aesthetically elegant version of that. Eventually, many will be floating around.
