Quick EMG wiring question

I'm in the middle of wiring a set of EMG )81/85 set into a guitar and the wiring. Diagram im using says white wire to the toggle switch.

BUT the white wires here have a core wire and then an outer mesh-wrapped wire.... I assume for a coil split?

Anyhow. Which wire do I actually solder to the toggle switch? I'm not using a tap or split on this guitar

Do I expose them both and wire them both, or just one or the other. Pics uploading

Yup. Jeremy beat me to it. Too bad the EMG diagram doesn't show that.

I suppose, I could've provided a diagram when I sold those. :wall:

i think i still have the old emg wiring sheets someplace, but i know you can find em online too

All they seem to have online are the ones with the plug-'n-play systems. But I know I've seen the "soldered" ones out there somewhere. I'm checking my archives now.

This is one of those things you have to glean from a couple different diagrams. One shows 2-pups, with V/T, but have separate ground wires, and one shows a different configuration using the coaxial cables.

P.S. I don't think I've ever seen a neck pickup referred to as the "fingerboard" pickup before.

Yes. But the barrel output jack i had is faulty, so it's at a standstill until I order another jack.

I'd say I'd send you one, but I don't have any. I hate those. They're bad enough for electric / acoustics. Even worse for metal machines. What guitar is this?
