Quick 'n dirty Hamer clips (also some Hermida content)

I decided to make some quickie clips of the Hamer now that I have the C5/59 in it. I just dialed in a decent clean tone on my Guitarport, and used my pedalboard for gain. I turned the gain up a bit higher than I usually use it, just for poos and giggles. I did a clip clean and with the Zendrive for both pickups, and also a shorter one just using the Mosferatu.

EDIT: Also, these clips sound somewhat muffled, like a blanket is over the speaker or something (probably the GP). Everything sounds much more lively cranked through the VHT :D.

Thanks a ton Fretfire!

No prob, I know they're pretty plain and somewhat redundant, but I wanted to show off the differences between pickups and pedals, I know I've been asked about these pedals a bit lately. I might dig around and see what backing tracks I have on my machine and try and start a jam here in the next few days.

How high up is the gain on those zendrive clips if I may ask? To be short, I'm looking for a bluesy OD with tube screamer like qualities, but less compression, and more grit (and) gain. These 2 Hermidas are competing against a Fulltone FD II and a few other non-botique pedals.

The pic above shows the settings I used. The knobs on the Zen are (top row, left to right) volume, gain (bottom row L to R) tone, voice. Also note that single coils will behave MUCH differently with these pedals than humbuckers.

BTW, for what you're talking about I'd go with the Zen over the Mosferatu. According to Alf, he created the Mos in an attempt to nail Robben Ford's lead tone, as I told you via PM it's more aggressive and has much more gain than the Zendrive. In fact, the gain knob at 3:00 on the Zen is roughly equal to the Mos at 9:00 or 10:00.
