Quick Pickup Combo Question - for the pros, please...

Hi everyone:

I just picked up a (practically) new Jackson DK2M, yesterday...

After plenty of research into passive pickups, I decided upon a set of Duncan Custom (SH-5) for the bridge and a Duncan '59 for the neck. Stock it has a JB TB4 in the bridge and a Jazz SH2N in the neck. I'm hoping for a more aggressive combination and the Custom was recommended to me as a very strong bridge pickup. The '59 is recommended as the matching neck pickup on the SD site.

What do you think? Will it be a good change, or would you recommend I go with another combo (or, maybe a different bridge pickup)?

I want to stay with passive pickups, by the way... main reason I chose the SH-5. I just realized that I bought the Humbucker for another guitar I bought that has a fixed bridge. Is it important that I get a Trembucker, now that I'm outfitting the wider (trem) bridge?

Thanks for any advice.

EDIT: I'm realizing now that I can answer my own question about the Trembuckers... I definitely DO want the posts to align with the strings, so I need to find a way to exchange the Custom for a Trembucker (TB-5). Does anyone know of a way this may be possible (aside from selling and re-buying)??? I bought them new on EBay and have sent the seller a note, but I don't imagine it's worth the seller's trouble to help me out.

So, this thread serves a new purpose (hope folks read it... I'm new here and might not draw many people). I have a mildly desperate need to swap a brand new Custom SH-5 (humbucker) pickup for a new Custom TB-5 (trembucker). I changed the guiltar these were set to be installed in between the time i ordered the new set and received them. Now I'm stuck.

Thanks.

if you bought it new and have proof of purchase there is a 21 day exchange thing with Duncan
call/email/contact Duncan if the seller wont exchange it

What about the JB thats already in the guitar that you dont like? You said more aggressive but to me both pickups are in about the same category as far as output goes so what exactly are you after? Both pickups are great pickups so im wondering in what way is the JB not doing it for you? Same with the neck pickup does it lack something? Dont let the name "Jazz" fool you its a very solid neck pickup. Was solid enough for Randy Rhodes.

No sense in knocking yourself out to swap for a TB5 and it turns out its not what you want. But ehwhuld is right if you bought from a authorized dealer you should be able to swap it.
