Quick Question about pickup rings

Is it possible to put Normal Humbucker mounting rings
(http://images.miretail.com/products/optionLarge/DiMarzio/545010jpg.jpg)
overtop a strat pickguard like the Dave Murray Signature Strat (http://www.fender.com/products//search.php?partno=0118802806) or is that specially built? Wondering cause I like the effect.

Yes. Here's mine. Just get the thinner ones, the thick ones might be hitting the strings.

If you just want standard rings, that's cool. But Dave at fretsonthenet will make you up custom rings (red pearloid? blue pearloid? etc etc) for about the same as buying from stewmac. And he's a top man.

Well see my plan is to cover my HUmmers with a chrome cover, then put something like a black ring around, seeing as my theme is black/white. ALthough a black metallic would be very nice...

If your theme is black/white, why use chrome covers...?
Get some white or black ones, and use Kisekae to sort out the fine detail!
