Tone Cat
Hey guys, can anyone help me out here? My used Hamer arrived with a pretty decent setup when I bought it, but I like the neck almost flat with just a very small amount of relief, so I wanted to give the truss rod a small tweak. I removed the truss rod cover at the headstock, only to find no truss rod nut. I'm used to my Wolfgang, which has the truss rod adjustment nut just above the neck pickup. On the Wolfgang, there is a black wheel-like nut with holes, and I just use a hex wrench to turn it. On the Hamer, there's a threaded sleeve for a nut to fit on, but no nut. It looks like the previous owner lost the nut, but I thought I'd post here just to make sure I was correct. Shouldn't there be some sort of hex nut screwed on to the threaded part of the truss rod adjustment? I can probably post a pic if no one knows what I'm talking about. Thanks.
