this page has sound clips with terms "clean bridge" and "dirty bridge"
i like the sound of the dirty one lots more, how can i make my guitar sound like that? it has now dull sound like the clean samples

do i need to buy new pickups, and if i do which ones i should get to have that megadeth/metallica style sound

hah. you don't need a pickup change.

You need either a pedal, or an amp with a distortion channel, or both.
