Quintessential JB records?

This has probably been discussed before but I wonder if anyone can point to some specific songs with what you would consider "the JB tone."
I always see references to hair metal but a lot of that is Super Distortion and I don't really know specific artists or records that are definitely JB.
What song do you think most exemplifies the und of the JB?

Hard to really assign an album tone to a specific pickup. We all know that amp and speakers have more to do with tone than pickups, and then there is all the studio "magic" with micing, stacking, post-eqq/compression ect...

Isn't Jeff Beck's "Blow by Blow" more or less the original JB/Jazz used throughout the album?

Surfing With the Alien is largely JB in a Kramer Pacer. Many songs are EQ-tweaked into oblivion, but I still hear "that sound" on nearly every track.

True. I'm hoping that listening to quite a few of them will allow me to "hear" the common elements that the pickup imparts.

That is the best strategy for sure, although so many of those classic albums are Super D and JB but in the context of the mix and recording they are somewhat still easy to mistake for each other despite them being so different in real life raw/guitar-only.

I can think a few more JB users like Scott Ian, Eric Petersen has used them too, Alex Skolnick too, Iron Maiden from the 90*s on at various times.

That is true in most cases however, Marty's leads on Rust in Peace really show the character of the JB. The lead tone just soars with that JB midrange.

Yea forgot about that one. If there was 1 piece of guitar equipment that made everything played through it sound the same, it was the Rockman preamp. There are lead lines on "Echo" that do have some JB character I must say. I have always read about the fact that Joe used a JB on SWTA, but was there documentation of him saying this?

cause we've ended as lovers is the telegib for sure, dunno about the rest of the album

Funny, as it doesn't sound like a typical JB to me. I am sure it is the original, but if any JB I tried sounded like that, I'd dig them.
