Does anybody have tried or know something about those very unknown pickups? Here's the info i have

Al Di Meola Neck DP201 230mV 6 4 6 (alnico V) 10.87K

Some say the al dimeola bridge sounds like the TZ but a bit tamed...that would be cool...I just find out that it's really similar to the Virtual Hot PAF!!!! LOL! Virtual HOT PAF DP214 265mV 5 6.5 6.5 (9.13K) AND to Breed neck 325mV 5 7.5 7.5 (10.14K).. UHM....still searching for that clear-clean bass response, good amount of harmonics..

I bought a zebra 201/202 pair for a friend's guitar, but we ended up going a different way so I've no idea what they really sound like. :no:

I had one and it is the most bewildering pickup I have owned? It is clean, cold, precise, and compressed with very little sustain. The bass is punchy, very little midrange and the high end is overpowering. When used clean or distorted it is just too cold and constipated. It also emphasizes the pick attack so you better have a good pick technique. Overall a very unforgiving pickup that is geared towards heavy overdrive and super technical shredding. Not a blues pickup at all. The song cassino or race with the devil would be a pretty good example.

I have a bridge model. (DP 202) I like it. I like it A LOT. Mine reads at 10.19K, which is a little lower than the specs that DiMarzio lists for it. Great clear punch in the mids, and it's VOCAL. Very balanced tone, the highs SING without even a hint of icepick frequencies. (I use it with a 500K pot) No boom in the lows. (Lows are TIGHT and muscular.) In a way it's kind of like a FRED in that it really sings, but with a different voice, more like a tight killer PAF but with more clarity and muscle that sounds ALIVE. Definitely a 3D sounding pickup. I don't know why some people refer to it as a lower output Tone Zone because I don't get that vibe from it at all. It LOVES effects, stays nice and clear even thru a TON of processing. I do find it seems to lack a tad bit of sustain compared to some other pickups, but nothing to cry about. (I like to use a compressor thru 1 amp of a 2 amp setup, that way I get CRAZY good sustain thru 1 amp and excellent dynamics thru the other amp with this pickup.) The harmonics are good. It's VERY accurate: whatever you play thru it, you'll HEAR it, so it'll make you a better player if you let it! LOL I hope this helps. PS: I'm using it in a '87 Kramer with a Floyd. Definitely a great pickup for locking trem guitars. It's one of those pickups that lets you sound like YOU. It seemed a little sterile at first, but after playing around with my amp settings, it's amazing. This pickup says "OK, what are we going to play now? I'm ready for it! I will DELIVER") I think this pickup should be a lot more popular than it is. Would I get another one? HELL YES! Highly recommended.

I have a DP201 in the neck position of an old Yamaha YSG. (The PRS co-design NOT the American name for Yamaha's SG1000/2000/3000 series.) On this 24 fret beast, the pickup seems fine for smooth single note use. FWIIW, my bridge pickup is an EVO2. Overall, smooth + raspy.


EDIT - It should be noted that I am a straight into the overdriven valve amp guy. I do not usually use distortion pedals. Hence, the DiMeola bridge/Treble pickup would not suit me.
