Re: Rack EQ
If it has to be rackmount there are countless options for you, from $100 to the thousands made for studio, live performance, and home audio applications, and all would suit you well. If you are ok with a floor-based or table-top unit, they aren't as expensive, and they sound cool. I have the Boss EQ-20, which is a 10-band graphic EQ with memory banks. It goes for about $150, and it is a lot of fun. The MXR 10-band EQ is a little less expensive, but sounds great also. For something unique, parametric EQs are a lot of fun to have. I have an old Boss parametric EQ pedal for bass, and it rocks. With that thing, I can fine-tune my sound for anything, or I can stretch my tone in all kinds of ridiculous ways.
