B2D and I need to know...

If they aren't readily available, could one of you guys who build amps direct me to the headbox supplier you use? Possibly they could make one?

I see headbox thingys on ebay; they can fit alot of ish

I don't know if an amp head fits, but you may be able to customize some. I like the dual recto rack models that fit snugly and are designed for racks. Definitely mesa 20/20s are for racks

HEY.....

I do have one & yeah, possibly for sale.

I haven't decided whether I want to convert it into a 2x12, but I suppose selling or trading it would probably happen sooner than me actually doing anything with it.

It shouldn't be hard to make. Just get some rack units and an empty headbox, you can buy those fairly cheaply. Then cover it in whatever tolex you feel like!

Not entirely OT -- does anyone make 1x12 or 2x12 combos with built in power amps and a rack space to add your own preamp? I know Groove Tubes used to.

I wonder if he could build a combo-style 2x12 enclosure with room for a vertically mounted 4u horizontal rack (two 2u racks side by side, with the control knobs facing up towards the ceiling). That'd be pretty damn big and heavy, though... maybe just a 4u headrack with a matching 2x12 cab.
