RG100SC-G2 100w 2x12 combo w/stereo chorus
$487 @ MF / ZZounds

RG75-G2DFX 75w 1x12 combo w/digital fx

RG75-G2 75w 1x12 combo

I don't get it -- do you really have to give up an extra $180 (and 100 watts!) to get stereo chorus in an amp these days, or are the 200w Randalls being discontinued? :eek13:

The 100 watt model (and I think the 1x12 75 watt) has two celestion speakers!

I have an earlier pre-G2 series 100 watt stereo model, and like or not, the chorus is tame (not much range) compared to a stomp box chorus. I like it.

The 200 watters are being closed out, but I do not know the reason. $300 sounds good to me!

I've tried all four of the models listed and liked them all. The chorus was pretty subtle, more like a hard-panned millisecond or two of stereo delay or some such double-track simulation trick. Can't say the feature was a dealbreaker, though. Yeah, $300 is hard to pass up. $250 for a blem model even more so.

Oh, and you're right, the RG75 (75w@8ohms, 100w@4ohms) and the RG100 (100@8, 150@4) have Celestion Seventy 80s. The RG200 (200@8, 240@4) has a pair of Celestions too, though; G12T-100s.

prices are really gonna drop cos the G2 series is being discontinued...hold out a little while longer if ya can

or wait for the G3s with that new hybrid power amp design. I'm curious to hear them myself.

I have awful luck with waiting for prices to drop. I usually overshoot the mark and end up driving a hundred miles in a futile search for Our Last Display Model Oops Guess We Sold It Already Sorry Man.:eek13:

That does sound intriguing. Do you have a link to info about them, or are they just buzz so far?

Most Randalls *ARE* all Buzz :laugh2:

There was some teaser info on the home page for Randall awhile back, and a big thread by one of Randall's engineers over on Harmony Central a few months back.
