I'm asking $200 for the head and foot switch ONLY. Do you think this is a fair price on this head and switch? I'm selling local to south to mid Mississippi only due to shipping costs.

Sounds fair to me. Maybe a bit low.

I was starting the price off at $200 and was wondering that since they are $300 new, but no one has any in stock at the moment that I have seen.....Not sure why I'm having such a hard time selling this thing though....

Give it some time.

Since you're asking for input about the price, I checked around and I think your sweet spot is going to be around $225 for a local sale. If I was using Craigslist, Offerup, etc., I'd put it up for $240 and make $200 my bottom line.

That said, you are severely restricting your potential market by choosing to only sell it locally.

Randall as a brand is a fairly tough sell on the used market. They make great products, but few people know much about the various models and, as a result, Randalls tend to go for less and linger a bit longer than comparable products from some of the more popular brands. If you want to sell it faster, seriously consider shipping it.

If it were me, I'd take a fresh picture without all that stuff on top, list it on Reverb at $225 with $35 shipping and sit back and wait. You'd get better exposure to potential buyers and end up paying much lower fees than eBay when it does sell. Of course, you can do what you want and I know shipping a head can be a bit inconvenient, but that's what I would do if it were mine.

Good luck!

$35 shipping is only half of what it costs to ship it. I have checked around to different locations in the country and the lowest I have come across with UPS is $75.

Re: Randall RX120RH solid state head w/ foot switch.

Yeah, the new shipping rates really suck. I can tell you that used ones are going for $240-$250 shipped at a couple places online, so that's your internet competition. On the other hand, $225 on a local deal is a fair price for both parties, I feel.

Now, if you were still considering dropping the price to $175 locally, then Reverb + paying the high shipping cost wouldn't be a bad idea. For instance, if you sold it for $225 + $40 shipping on Reverb = $265 - $10 commission - $75 shipping = $180 in your pocket with a higher likelihood of moving it quickly.

Nonetheless, the Reverb suggestion was just that...something to think about if your current methods don't pan out.

If you can sell it locally, that's definitely the way to go, but demand for Randalls can be hit or miss, especially in a small, local market. Patience will be your friend in that case.

Good luck!
