Rasmus by Suhr

Re: Rasmus by Suhr

Why am I scrolling sideways on that ****ing website!

I think kinda cheap. I am sure they play like butter though.

Re: Rasmus by Suhr

A couple guys on Rigtalk have them, and the consensus is they the best sub $1000 guitar you can get.

I want to try one just to see, but I doubt I would buy one. I am about full on the locking trem guitars.

Re: Rasmus by Suhr

I was actually considering buying one of those but then decided that if they don't have the Suhr name on them then they're probably not good enough to have his name on them. I would rather spend the money on an Ibanez or Charvel Pro Mod.

From the pictures they appear to be about the same quality as those Guitar Center Laguna guitars. I don't care if Greg Howe plays them. If "Suhr" is not on the headstock then it's not going to be nearly as great as the real thing. Too bad.

Re: Rasmus by Suhr

I haven't even heard of em until now... I think they look good. If they play like a Suhr they'll take off.

From the website:
"You may be asking why the name Rasmus? It is a name derived from John Suhr's real Danish family name, Rasmussen that has a root name of Rasmus. John cares about quality and he wouldn't put his name on anything that does not meet his very high standards for quality, integrity, reliability and value."

Re: Rasmus by Suhr

i saw a few of these at a higher priced store near me... they were in their custom shop show room with all teh expensive stuff side by side with the real deal Suhr's... the headstock did strike me as ugly... but from pick it off the rack and strumming on it un-plugged it seemed like a decent guitar... but not enough for me to bother plugging in for farther tests... the one i had in my hand needed a set up bad... oneday i'll give one a better road test...

Re: Rasmus by Suhr

the one i had picked up to look at felt really heavy... which i normally like in a guitar... almost felt like it was made of all hard maple instead of an alder body LOL.... the Floyd on it was sitting kind of cock-eyed which made me wonder if someone at the store had monkeyed around with it and didn't know too much about set ups...

Re: Rasmus by Suhr

You clearly didn't use the scroll bar.

Im at work and have VERY restricted accesses. I cant get onto most guitar sites, but when I can, I cant be seen with big guitar pics on my screen, so I couldnt fish around too much.. Thats why I said the one when you first open the site looks like.... :cool2:

I imagine the guitars will be good.. You can great great imports for a decent price and some of the better ones, like the Charvel pro mods, run close to a grand.
