Rate my soundclip (First Post!)

Howdy. I'm new to the boards as of today. My name is Dan, and I've been playing since September when I got my first guitar on my 17th birthday. Today I made a recording out of a rhythm I wrote, and a solo I improvised. The quality isn't perfect but it gets the point across. Please give me your opinions and suggestions. My sincere thanks.

Note -- This piece was created with the following:

Peavey V-Type EXP NTB
Dimebucker in the Bridge
Ernie Ball Power Slinkys (10's)
MXR Dime Distortion for the solo
Rocktron Hush
Ibanez Tone Blaster 25R
God-awful microphone that came with my computer

That's not bad at all! Congradulations on your quick development! Awesome!

One thing, the lead tone is extremely buzzy and sterile, but you have a nice lead over that nonetheless. I'd also work on your dynamics as a player, try using some hammer-ons, pull-offs, and throw in some accentuations on some notes. It'll give you leads a more lively and emotional feel.

Great work! Keep it up.

I love the melody! Really good...everything is played clean.

that was nice man

god i wish i sounded that good after my first 6 months haha

you've obviously been working on your scales, just try "spicing" it up, and your well on your way man

That was a nice "intro" riff / solo. I can hear big chugging chorus slamming in after that:) The song definitely has potential!
