Raw versus Satin nickel covers?

I'm looking at a utilitarian aesthetic for my next LP build. I can't find any pictures of the satin or raw nickel covers that DiMarzio offers. Do any other pickup manufacters offer these options

I would think covers quality as the opposite of utilitarian

Sans cover would be the just useful version

I could see that, but covers keep the pickup safe from my strings catching under them and block noise. They just look gaudy is the problem

DiMarzio's unplated covers have a smoother finish than some, but will show discoloration, scratches, and tarnishing much easier/faster than their nickel-plated covers:

Keep in mind there are also plastic, EMG-style humbucker covers out there if you want a really utilitarian, understated appearance.

You can probably buy the covers aftermarket, too. I don't mind covers- I like SD's powder coated black the best.
