Many modern fuzzes have a suboctave feature so you could try doing this on guitar. If the fuzz you want to use doesnt have that, you could still use a One Octave Down effect ahead of the fuzz.

that's it! i said fuzz factory but the wooly mammoth is this sound! zvex makes very "velcro-y" fuzzes!
