Rearranged my pedalboard. Rig pics.

Stripped my pedalboard down a little, but wanted more fuzz options, so I kept my trusty T Rex Mudhoney and Klon, but now added the handwired Jimi reissue Fuzzface. The ADA and Choralflange are sweet, and I still like the modulation options I have with the Line 6.

Guitar > Fuzzface powered by 9V > Mudhoney > Fulltone Clyde Deluxe > Klon Centaur OD > Fulltone Choralflange > ADA Flange > L6 MM4.

Recently Bogner retubed and checked over my 94 white chassis Ecstasy, and I went further, dialing in all the preamp tubes with 12AX7's specifically chosen. Tungsol, EI goldpins, and JJ EL-34's.

The Colossal Cable is the best cable I've ever tried.
It's clear automotive braiding on it, but appears silver. Check their youtube clips.

My trusty wellworn 97 Am Std with Surfer Custom/Surfers. Black Pearl Dust Fender with C5/59 hybrid and Cool Rails on a 3 way switch and 1 volume. ES-335 from the Memphis Gibson Custom Shop with 57 Classics. And whatever LP I feel like playing. Those have Brobucker/PG, Custom/Jazz B, and C5/59/59

I also really dig my Dearmond w/Bigsby.

Nice board. Those two fuzzes can really cover a lot of ground. I have a Mudhoney myself and I've played the Hendrix and been looking for one to appear used so I can get it.

To answer the question about the delay....my DL4 suddenly died. Last week was a bad week for pop stars and delays.

Since I couldn't get it working, I took it off, as well as my white Fulltone FDII, removed the shelf, and ended up with what's on there.

Now, I don't know if I should look into having L6 fix it, or waiting awhile till I can buy a new analog delay.

I've been looking at the Boss/Roland Space Echo as an option.

I hate hear that but welcome to the world of LINE6 pedals...Ihear that story ALL THE TIME...I know a lot of pro's use them but pro's also have a lot of back up gear and cash...it is for this very reason I refuse to own any LINE6 gear...sorry...I know it sounds good and is easy to use and tweak but it does me no good if it won't last!

Anyway...nice lookin board! Good to see another Fuzz Face user...I just love a good FF. Take the DL4 death as an excuse to get a good Echoplex...or Deluxe Memory Man...at least a Carbon Copy!

It's cooler than a hot rails...not as much output. If you search on the forum you'll find more info that you could ever want...

That's a pretty cool pedal... I've been contemplating one myself. Not really a do-it-all delay box & its a got a vibe but I dig it. I'm sorta hanging on for the Duncan delay which I think would cover more ground but who knows... The Pigtronix Echolution is a killer pedal... not sure you'd ever need another delay. Smokes the Lame6 & so many other boxes... its a pretty BIG box though, and needs its own power supply. I think its 15 volts... something odd.

On my other thread about the Pigtronix Mothership, I was mostly just commenting on how cool it was, rather than jonesing for actually buying it.

Most of the time, I use a normal guitar tone out of the 3 channels on the Bogner, which are actually set vintagey in nature, not metal-like. Clean is like Fender, Plexi mode on blue, and red is set like a heavy Marshall rhythm tone. The boosts or the Klon bring it to soloing gain.

The Fuzzface sounds best to me with single coils because it's a dark voiced pedal. Humbuckers really work well with the Mudhoney.

I have the Choralflange usually set to sound like a Leslie, and the ADA has that swirly VH'ish thing going on.

I'm really leaning toward trying a delay that has a unique character I like. The Roland Space Echo might really be fun.
I'm also thinking of holding out for a Duncan, and see how that one is.

Now that you mentioned it, I forgot about the Deluxe Memory Man. I've always liked the sound of those, and comparing it to the Boss Space Echo.....I'm pretty sure I'd find more use with the EH Deluxe MM.

EH DMM is hands down the best sounding delay pedal out there IMO.

A bit more balanced sounding, less output and less midrange. They go well with a humbucking bridge.
