Recharging magnets

Hey guys

So I had a stack of A3s, uoA5s and A8s that were put together while I was in hospital. I've ordered some of those repair magnets from Stew Mac. Anyone tried these? Any other way of doing this? Any tips?

Thanks fellars

Re: Recharging magnets

those magnets work fine. you could build an electromagnet

Re: Recharging magnets

I put mine between two speaker magnets to charge them up. One speaker is cone down while the other is cone up on a stack of books.

Why 2? What would happen if you just kept all your magnets attached to the back of one of your speakers in an amp? Would that be enough to keep them fully charged?

I figured I should have two equal strength magnets on each side of the magnet I am charging. With axis' lined up NS-NS-NS . If I only used one the smaller/weaker magnet might be demagnetized by the larger/powerful magnet? With two there's symmetry and all of the axis' are lined up properly to pass the stronger magnetic field through smaller/weaker magnet, thereby charging the smaller/weaker magnet.

Re: Recharging magnets

magnets are always bipolar, thus as long as the pickup is in unison with the magnetic field the big magnet will make the magnetic domains align.
