Recommend bridge pickup

Re: Recommend bridge pickup

Lol, Geddy wouldn't need to sing Cobain's stuff, they would let Alex do it. I think he would sound better than Cobain would have trying to hit notes in Geddy's range.
Of course, I wasn't focusing as much on vocals as much as I was on instrumental musicianship.

Re: Recommend bridge pickup

Right. Vox musicianship is the most important part in popular music tho.

Re: Recommend bridge pickup

As far as I'm concerned, especially in this day and age, most popular "music", isn't.

Especially considering how most vocals are treated and over processed in the studio.

Re: Recommend bridge pickup

I'm with you there. I recently tried to get hip with the times and started listening to the top voted songs from my local alt station. I made it through about 10 before I became enraged and couldn't listen anymore. Cobain was legit tho live or in the studio. He was one of the greats as far as singing goes. Assuming one likes heavy, non-metal rock music.

Re: Recommend bridge pickup

When I was in my 20's I liked Nirvana and the rest of the Seattle bands. For myself, however, they have not stood the test of time.

Re: Recommend bridge pickup

i never cared for nirvana. i still like some of the other seattle bands like sound garden

Re: Recommend bridge pickup

I liked Nirvana for killing what was popular in rock music at the time, although I didn't like Nirvana either. Right about '92 I started listening to much older music as what was out didn't do anything for me musically or as entertainment.
