Recommend decent tele?

Re: Recommend decent tele?

Classic Player Baja Tele.

Custom Shop designed, and depending on the series (50's/60's) you get CS or AVRI pickups, American hardware, 9.5" radius with Medium Jumbo frets, and S-1 switching. Pretty sweet guitars.

think mincer nailed it. if you want an inexpensive backup for your Les Paul pick up an Epiphone Les paul Standard and through a set of Whole Lotta Humbuckers in it. You will be amazed. If you want to really get a killer guitar throw a set of Fishman Moderns in the Epiphone Les Paul, it might just end up replacing your Gibson as numero uno.

Re: Recommend decent tele?

These are good ideas as well. The main Tele candidates here would be the Reverend Buckshot and the PRS Vela. They're not that similar - Buckshot is a 25.5" scale korina body bolt-on, while Vela is a 25" scale mahogany body set-neck, but both are extremely solid.

Yup. I have the Vela and it's a GREAT guitar. I have the Reverend Double Agent III and it's very, very cool, though a voice all its own compared to a Tele. I prefer both to my American Deluxe Tele, but that's just me!
