Recommend Me A Geetar!!

Hey guys :smoker:

In the comming months i hope to be purchasing a new guitar and i'd like you to help recommend a few for me....

Right..i play kinda metal,classic rock,punk....basically rock in general.
I'm not particularly looking for a trem eqipped guitar but i'd like a classic style guitar i.e.les paul type...but if you recommend me a guitar thats not a les paul type and floyd equipped it doesn't matter cos you guys opinions will greatly help me in my search for a new ,and main axe!! :firedevil:rocket:

Les Paul Standard. You just can't go wrong. For the side of you that might prefer a bright strat sound just split the coils on the bridge PUP.

I've always been a sucker for Fat Strats (preferably with a Floyd Rose). Very versitle. I like having access to both heavy humbucker distortion and fat, warm sounding single coil cleans.

Les Pauls are nice. Very classic. Easier to play. With the right pickups you can get both some sweet ass blues, jazz, and heavy distortion.

For single coil sounds, single coils are the way to go, split humbuckers just don't compare (in my opinion).

USA Jacksons and B.C. Rich's have always been a favorite of mine. oh, and again, you really can't go wrong with a Les Paul...

You've already got your strat & I assume you're happy with it...I'd get an LP style guitar. I love my Epi LP Custom...that ESP LTD LP-clone looks really nice & it's stock with Duncans (JB-59 I believe) on the amber model; EMGs with the black or red.

I'm a Tele man myself.....not sure if that would be your thing. Also, SGs are super sweet too..............

Maybe a telecaster?
A Gibson Les Paul is nice, or maybe an SG
It all depends on how much you are willing to spend.
Maybe you could check out Warmoth for all the classic body shapes.

ESP EC-1000 they make a model with EMG's and another with Duncans. Same goes for the EC-400 model, it's the same guitar without all the fancy **** on it, like the binding and stuff. Great guitars.

if you have a lot of money, you could always get Gibson, ESP, or Fender to make you a custom guitar, and if you're looking for LP style body then you might as well go Gibson. If you're not a big spender then you could go with an ESP LTD EC-400, surely that would be good for you.

You know the old addage you get what you pay for ? Then pay for a Jackson USA Soloist.

The Jackson stuff as always seems top quality but i'd really rather the les paul type but not preferrable a les paul, i was always considering the Esp ltd ec-1000 but mabye i'd be better saving for the esp standard eclipse...??

any more suggestiong or thoughts???

Mainly the reason for not wanting a les paul is because i hear everywhere that for the price of them they aren't the best guitars ..for the same money you can get a better made,sounding,playing guitar so i've heard..

I'm extremely happy with my Schecter C1 Plus....I don't believe you can beat that deal for the guitar/dollar ratio. I'm just as happy with my Gibson SG Special.

A properly set up Les Paul is Second to None as Far as I am concerned, Jacksons are great guitars. I've also played Fender Strats, B.C. Rich, Ibanez. Still Prefer the Les, But that's me. Play several, switch back and forth, before even thinking about deciding on one!!

Well im ruling out Ibanez,bc rich, fender schecter... Ibanez because the necks are just too small and IMO i view them as a nu metal guitar(just the feeling i get off them but i know there not just that) Bc rich ,fender, schecter, like 'em but not what i'm looking for at the moment.. I think im definitly narrowed down to a les paul type but whether its gonna be a les paul i dunno..to be honest i havent really got to play one properly because the main irish dealer in Ireland is in dublin called Waltons and they are (excuse my french) THE BIGGEST F**KING D**KHEADS ever...

so could you gimme a run down of what you les paul players think of the Neck??

and any esp players also??
