im with bludave on this. i have a verbzilla and it isnt bad, but it doesnt sound like the reverb in my deluxe or the fender tube unit, and those dont sound the same either actually and does color the sound some. ive been dragging out my tube unit more and more and using the verbzilla less and less. dont forget that lew also uses the verbzilla to split his signal to two amps, not just to add reverb.
as far as the smooshy feel to the verbzillas pedal, there are actually two 'clicks'
one is half way down and that will turn the verbzilla on or off but the same chassis is also used for the echopark and the first click is for tap tempo, the second click which is much more solid turns the delay on and off
