Recommend me a tube amp to try out!?

Ok...most of you guys know me pretty well by now...and you know my tastes in music...Tom Petty, AIC, SRV, Collective Soul, Skynryd, CCR, AC/DC, Switchfoot, Foo Fighters, etc?!

Recommend me an amp or amps that will get the sounds i'm seeking...(i know, it's all gonna be up to my ears, but point me in the right direction, maybe something i haven't tried before!?) something i could find used for $1200.00 or less. if i try it and like it...i'll start saving...my wife's started work, so i should be able to get it together before the end of the summer?!

i want something with smooth lows like melting butter and yet the ability to grind and chunk some ice every now and again...i want a great reverb (or a great reverb pedal recommendation to go along with it! i love me some good verb!), and fairly easy layout control wise...bass, mids, highs, reverb, gain, master volume...one or two channels (one if that one is versatile, two is better!) a footswitch and something no more than 60 watts with classic looks and sturdy construction......??? (it doesn't have to be those exact specs, but you get the general idea)

Rivera Clubster or Pubster. I was looking at them yesterday online. They look great. The Guy Who Invented Fire suggested them. Check them out.

Apparently the guy that worked and designed for fender started this company. They claim to have the closest amp that can combine Fender and Marshall into one package. That's the sales pitch any way.

I want the Clubster.

Classic rock tone?
Marshall DSL50, or an old school Marshall JCM800 combo or head. Both 50 watts The DSL also exists in como, the DSL401.

A marshall 800 or DSL will almost always work for that. I know it will be tough to try but try a Budda SD30 if you can. You can usually pick up one on e-bay for around $1,100 or so. They really sound great and can cover all those tones.

Mesa Boogie, Mark I, or a rectifier. You can get some unreal classic rock tones out of a Marshall (preferrably the DSL series) and you can get some unreal heavy distortion out of them too, but Mesa in my opinion is the frontline of guitar amplification. They're definately not cheap but worth every penny. Every one of them is hand made, and hand wired, in the USA with the highest quality materials in the business. No cost cutting measure taken here. And they sound absolutely gorgeous. However the EQ is very complicated on a Mesa so it is very easy to sound like crap. It may take several weeks to find your sweet spot, but once you find it, you'll absolutely fall in love with it.

If I was looking to buy annother EL34 based combo for classic rock, blues and some harder rock while staying on somewhat of a budget, that is the amp that I would by. Had that been available 2 years ago I may have ended up with that instead of my Marshall.

i am very familiar with the Rivera line of amps...I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THEM!!! i'm just curious as to what else is out there that's comparable to them...?!

i would definitely like to try a Traynor out, the Mesa F-series sounds good as well...and i've never played one of their Mark series amps either?!

i've played through the jcm800, but it's been awhile i need to give them another go and the DSL too!

i've never played any Kranks or Buddas...?!
