Recommend p/u's for Ibanez SA160qm

Greetings!
I bought an Ibanez SA160qm for my son. The stock pickups are sharp and brittle and need to be replaced, imho. Can someone recommend replacement pickups? The configuration is SSH. It tends to be a bright sounding guitar. I'd like warm, medium output pickup recommendations. I'm thinking 2 Lil '59s and a full sized 59. Is that too bland? Thanks. :banana:

I guess it depends on what type of music he's playing. I would mix them up just for some spice.

He plays in a christian praise & worship team. There's a wide mix between hard rock and clean mellow sounds. He likes to play heavy stuff on the side.

I would go for a Cool Rails in the neck, a Vintage Rails in the middle, and either a Custom or a Custom 5 at the bridge.

Install a pair of push/pull pots to swithc the neck and mid pickups from series to parallel and you'll have a great sounding, versatile set up.

consider a CC in the bridge to tame the highs ... agree about the cool / vintage in the S slots
