recommendations for a guitar

Re: recommendations for a guitar

What about an ESP ltd H-1000? The body is shaped very much like a strat but its mahogany with a maple top. You can get it with either a JB/59 set or EMG 81's. I haven't played an H series before but I love the neck on my M series, real fast but not TOO thin. Also its an ESP so you know its gonna rock for some progressive metal :smokin:

Re: recommendations for a guitar

thats nice!

but im looking for something with a floyd :D

come on!

sometimes you just gotta go all out vai on it!!!

Re: recommendations for a guitar

Ok, same link....scroll down a bit and check out the m-1000. Floyd city, and I can personally recommend an M series. I used to play metalpunk on a strat but the neck was too fat and hurt after a while. Things are so much smoother on the ESP.

Re: recommendations for a guitar

It doesnt have a floyd but i am selling a mint Schecter C-1+ with Seymour duncan C-5 in the bridge and a Pearly Gates in the neck. plays wonderfully.

Re: recommendations for a guitar

a bit off topic but how is the C5 in the schecter? how would it be in a prog rock band?

actually my charvel right now is basically a soloist
it's one of the san dimas series models out in the early 90's...

Sorry, but the San Dimas Reissues are nothing like a Soloist. They have a Standard strat shape (Larger, and less room between horn and neck, your exact problem), are Bolt-On (bulkier Heel instead of smooth transfer). The Neck profile is different as well. The only real similarities are the H-S-S config and trem.

They play like 2 totally different guitars. ;)

alot of money my friend :D

True...compared to what we would have to pay in NZ the approx. $1,100 at Musicians Friend is a bargain though...
