Recommendations for Single Coil sized bucker to match Ceramic Thrash Factor

Hello,
I have a Thrash Factor trembucker I swapped a single thickness ceramic mag into. I was going to put this in a Mustang parts guitar. I was going to use a Warmoth 7/8 conversion neck (Gibson scale, 24 frets) on it.
my question is, what single coil sized ‘bucker would it match with best?
I’m considering a Hot Rails neck (which I have in another guitar already), Lil ‘59, Lil Demon, Cool Rails and a Red Devil (essentially the entire Duncan single humbucker line haha)
The amp is a Marshall DSL100H boosted with a tube screamer. I was going to have this guitar in D standard/Drop C. I play mostly Melodeath, Metalcore and Black Metal. I generally use the neck pickup for cleans and solos.
As previously stated, I have a Hot rails neck in another guitar, so I wouldn’t be opposed to trying something different.
Which of these would best fit the bill? I generally like a neck that’s a little “chimey” and “bright” and has some dig to it
Thanks

Broad generalizations are the rails ones are smoother and the screws ones are the ones with grit and dig to them. So if that's what you want, then go for one with screws. They have subtle differences. The ceramic ones are a little brighter. So JB Jr, Lil Demon etc.

interesting how would the Lil Demon stack up for high gain solos in the neck? The only single sized hum I’ve tried from Seymour is the Hot Rail, so I’ve been curious about the others

They have a different feel. Ime, the hot rails is the fattest and smoothest neck single size hb. The cool rails is similar but a little snappier. If you want a change of pace then try one with screws like the lil demon. Here's a demo.

Thanks Clint. You’ve always been one of the most helpful people on this forum:yourock:

My guesses would be the Hot Rails, and the single coil Invader. Both are darker and thicker than the Thrash Factor, but would match in output. Tone-wise, the Cool Rails is like the single coil sized Jazz, and it will keep the 'clean and clear' thing going on.

The single coil Invader sounds interesting. I’d like to try something hum cancelling though.
so if the Cool Rail is like a Jazz, how do the Lil ‘59 and Lil Screamin compare to their full-size counterparts?
I’m also curious about the Red Devils. The Alnico single coil sized humbucker has me intrigued

The red devil is cool. Sounds more natural with alnico. There are just subtle differences between single coil size humbuckers of the same build, they don't sound anything like their full size counterparts. You more want to go by all the specs than how the wind is marketed. Like I said, pole pieces is the main difference, then wind, and mag and heat level make a difference as well. The lil 59 would probably be slightly mellower than the demon since it's supposed to be scooped like the big 59, it just ends up crunchy tho.

Thanks again, Clint. I think I might just have to bite the bullet and try one. I can always sell it if it isn’t my cup of tea haha

You're welcome. Yeah sometimes you just have to try one. You can ballpark it though. Since you said you want it to balance with the ceramic trash factor I assume you want it aggressive. You also said you want it bright and chimey with some dig. The lil demon seems the most aggressive to me with the lil demon screws so it's gonna be one of the most bright and it's gritty if that's what you mean by dig. While it might not fit what you want with chime. The lil screws are more gritty than chimey but you might see it as chimey. :dunno:

That honestly seems like it would be right up my alley. I’m gonna give it a try and see what happens
