Cool forum and I'm glad I found it. So for my first post (I'm sure this is the most popular post of a newbie).........................could someone please recommend a pup for my Charvel Crossed Swords? It came through with a TB-14, I tried a TB-4 and this guitar still has a little too much top end and not enough bottom for me. It has a maple neck a fretboard but am not sure what the body is but I suspect alder. Thanks in advance and I look forward to chillin here.

The TB-11 will smooth out the top end but if the TB-14 did not have enough bottom for you I don't think you will like it. Try a Custom or maybe a Saraceno, what sound are you looking for?

Thanks for the replies gentleman. The sound I'm looking for? A nice tight bottom end ( I do like lots of bottom regardless of the style of music I'm playing ) no over the top highs and a not overbearing midrange. Hopefully this sums it up.

Re: Recommendation's Please

A 250k volume pot may tame the highs on the JB or TB-14 just enough to be what you're looking for and only cost you a couple bucks!

Re: Recommendation's Please

welcome!

yeah, a CC or a PG would be good for that, although an AIIP is pretty creamy too .. just dunno if you will want a touch more output than that

Re: Recommendation's Please

If too much high end is really the problem I agree with the CC recomendation. But, super bright guitars tend to lean me towards DiMarzio.
