Now that my homemade is needing some upgrades, I decided I would also change the pickup configuration as well. It's been a dual humbucker guitar for years and I just got a dual humbucker pickguard for it earlier this year but my LP serves the dual HB area perfectly so this one is going to go 1 hum(b) - 1 single
, with a new pickguard too.
The guitar is an alder body, maple neck and fingerboard, natural finish. Pickguard is going to be Vintage Pearl (see Warmoth.com) like it has now. Black pickups, black knob(s). Don't know if I'm going to go with 1 push/pull volume with no tone or 1 volume, 1 tone and 3-way switch, but probably 1 push/pull volume.
I know I'm going APS-1 for the single, no question.
Since I value the wealth of pickup knowledge and diversity here, my question for you is on the humbucker. I could always go to my tried and true and get another CC but I want something in the Vintage line, either a 59 or A2Pro.
So, let's have at it. Vote for your choice. First voter gets to choose my vote. This poll will end after 7 days.
